The "heirloom" is a raspberry-pie recipe found in an attic trunk by Veronica Fisher as she mourns the death of her fiancé, Seth. Veronica bakes pies to help salve her broken heart-and finds one steady customer, Jason Huyard, who begins to weave his way into that shattered heart. But Jason knows more about Seth's death than he lets on, a secret that threatens his growing relationship with Veronica. Will he tell her the truth and risk losing her? Clipston is well versed in Amish culture and does a good job creating the world of Lancaster County, Penn. The only complaint readers may have is the repeated descriptions of the conflict that threatens Jason and Veronica.
